COMMISSIONS

I take commissions in several disciplines: poetry, physical art and digital graphics.

I will take on 1-2 commissions at a time. Pricing varies by art type (poetry, digital, physical), artwork size/length, complexity and if I am familiar with the desired style. Please read all the information for the relevant sections on this page - if unsure about anything please contact me either here on my website, or on Instagram. With all commissions, if desired, I can make a process video. With any produced work, I will retain the copyright.

BOOKS

Poetry

I have been writing poetry for about 3 years now, and am aiming to publish several collections. Provisionally, I'm aiming for four collections which will form part of a body of work I've called areom (a rambling excerpt of mind). The first two collections in the series have been released and you can get them below.

  1. Lapovita is the first section in this series. You can get it in Paperback or PDF format. It's over 40 poems, and each poem has a visual element for each poem too.

  2. This second collection called Evadare has over 50 poems, and again comes with accompanying mixed media work including photos, collages, oil pastel drawings and ink sketches. The collection continues where the previous volume in the areom (a rambling excerpt of mind) series thematically left off, with a further plunge into emotional abyss. Brace your heart, armour your soul and honey your tear ducts. Evadare is available in paperback format or PDF.

The other collections are 88% and 82% written, although I would then want to edit, illustrate and format them, much like how I have done for Lapovita. So, whilst you’re waiting for more books in the series why not check out some poems I’ve written?

Regarding poetry commissions, I prefer writing free form/free verse poetry. I am happy for you to pick the theme, tone and style. As seen on my Ko-fi page, I generally only do poems under 50 lines. I can also do an illustration to accompany the poem.

Other books

As for the future, I have several ideas for novels, including a sci-fi novel, a medieval fantasy novel, and a detective novel.

PHYSICAL ART

I am planning to start selling my paintings and will soon create a shopfront, such as on Etsy, Brushwrk, Sota or Ko-fi.

I paint primarily in oils and acrylic (on canvas or wood board), but I love using other media in artwork, including chalk, oil pastel, ink, collage, metal. In terms of style, I am most comfortable and attracted to surrealist, abstract, and expressionist work. I am not a realist artist, so please be forewarned - I like painting loose so that means some details might not be 100% perfect, I am instead simply trying to invoke a story, a feeling. 

I work best with bigger canvases, when given slight instructions, colours, and themes, as it leaves more room for exploration and artistic freedom. That is why I charge more for highly highly specific artwork, to the order of 20% extra for the time required to research before beginning.

With physical art, I ask for a 20% deposit, essentially to cover material costs if you change your mind about purchasing the commission. Generally for canvas paintings, I charge £1 per square inch. So some examples below to illustrate:-

  • 10inx10in = £100

  • 16inx20in = £320

  • 20inx20in = £400

  • 30inx20in = £600

DIGITAL ART

For digital art/graphics commissions, head over to my Ko-fi page. Please note that I try my absolute best to use open source images and fonts. Also, I do not use Photoshop or any Adobe product, so bear that in mind regarding the complexity of the project and quality of final output (e.g. printing images as massive banners might highlight pixels). I much prefer doing one off singular pieces - I am not a branding specialist.
